Kuranda Aluminum Chew Proof Bed replaces aluminum frame pipes for their standard high grade poly resin PVC. The aluminum frame prevents the bed from sinking in along the sides under the weight of any heavy dog due it's superior strength. The aluminum has a refined satin gray finish, please note the corners and legs remain in a gray plastic. All aluminum legs are available for an additional $12.00. This heavy duty bed is great for anywhere be it at home or the workplace, and even more so for heavier dogs. Cordura is a hard, durable fabric, but has the feel and texture of a traditional canvas. It has a waterproof coating which allows it to not get soaked as would the Vinyl Weave. It is double the durability of the vinyl weave being able to withstand the hardest conditions. Similar to material used in horse blankets and knapsacks. Vinyl Weave ,a product usually found in high class patio furniture, is a breathable material which allows water to pass through it. The fabric is most useful for outdoor settings or dogs who love being in the water. It provides a cooler surface for any pet, but is the least durable of all the fabrics and is not recommended for rough dogs. Ballistic Nylon is the second most durable of the fabrics. It has many aspects of Cordura but is much easier to clean; dries much faster and no hair adheres to it. This fabric is also non-porous. (recommended for commercial use). Heavy Duty 40 oz. Vinyl is the most durable and is so easy to clean you can use a sponge. Reports of multiple year use have proven it's outstanding durability! Similar to tarp and gym mat fabric.
